How To Boost Creativity
Five simple steps
1 Your creative output is influenced by your creative input - too much doom scrolling, watching junk tv etc can dampen creativity.
2 A limited palette can force you to use your imagination far better than having endless colours to hand - then mix your own hues and tones rather than taking colours straight from the tube.
3 Paint with a brush that feels too big - if you can paint with a big brush you can paint with anything.
4 Think beyond the brush. Use other tools to apply paint such as a palette knife, things you find around the home like dish sponges, an old credit card, even twigs can add texture and interest to your work.
5 Stop painting for an audience. Paint to express your own unique voice to please yourself only.
